Anchoring South Broad Street’s Avenue of the Arts, the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts is a glass?domed complex designed by Rafael Viñoly and home to the Philadelphia Orchestra; its main auditorium, Marian Anderson Hall, seats 2,500 and opened in 2001. The hall was officially rededicated from Verizon Hall to honor contralto Marian Anderson in June 2024, and the campus also includes the 650?seat Perelman Theater with flexible staging for chamber music, dance, and talks. Set amid Center City’s restaurant? and theater?rich corridor, it presents orchestral concerts, Broadway tours, jazz, and special events year?round.

On-site Kimmel Center Garage (300 S Broad St) beneath the building; the entrance is just south of the Broad Street doors and is accessible only when traveling south on Broad. Nearby options include the Avenue of the Arts Garage on 15th Street between Locust and Spruce.

SEPTA Broad Street Line to Walnut–Locust Station (about two blocks); PATCO to 12–13th & Locust or 15–16th & Locust; nearby bus routes on Broad/Walnut/Chestnut include 4, 16, 27, 32, 9, 21, and 42; Regional Rail to Suburban Station, then transfer to the Broad Street Line or walk ~15 minutes.
