As one of the largest museums in the country, the Philadelphia Art Museum offers a vibrant campus for both Philadelphians and visitors to enjoy. Our main building is an iconic cultural landmark, best known for the “Rocky Steps” on its East Terrace, which provide sweeping views of the city skyline and a popular gathering place for civic celebrations. Inside you’ll discover world-renowned galleries, engaging educational spaces, unique retail shops, and a variety of dining options. Our campus, located along the scenic Benjamin Franklin Parkway, also includes the nearby Rodin Museum and the Anne d’Harnoncourt Sculpture Garden.

Parking

On-site parking garage on the west side of the main building with validation discounts; access via Spring Garden Street, Kelly Drive, or Waterworks Drive. Additional on-campus options include West Terrace lots.

Public transit

SEPTA bus Route 38 stops at the museum; other routes serving the area include 7, 43, 48, and 49. Broad–Spring Garden (BSL) is roughly 10 blocks east; Regional Rail stops at nearby Suburban Station and 30th Street Station.
