Historic Germantown is a partnership of 20 historic houses, museums, and greenspaces in Northwest Philadelphia, headquartered at the Germantown Historical Society building on Market Square. The current organization was formed in 2012 when Historic Germantown and the Germantown Historical Society merged, and it now coordinates tours and seasonal programs across its member sites, including events like Second Saturdays and the neighborhood’s Juneteenth festivities. Set along the Germantown Avenue historic corridor, it offers archives, exhibitions, and access to nearby landmark sites.

Free parking is available behind the Germantown Historical Society building at 5501 Germantown Avenue; additional paid PPA parking is nearby at the West Armat St & Germantown Avenue Lot (5526–28 Germantown Avenue).

Public transit

SEPTA Bus Route 23 runs along Germantown Avenue with a stop at School House Lane for the building; nearby Regional Rail stations include Chelten Avenue (Chestnut Hill West Line) and Germantown (Chestnut Hill East Line).
