Gateway Plaza at FDR Park is the park’s revamped main entrance at Broad Street and Pattison Avenue, created as a welcoming civic square with seating groves, cooling misters, bike racks, wayfinding, rain gardens, and a bold “FDR” sign. The plaza opened in June 2025 as part of the park’s Gateway Phase alongside the Anna C. Verna Playground and a new Welcome Center, anchoring the edge of South Philly’s Stadium District. It serves as a meeting point and activation space linking the park to nearby venues and restaurants in the Sports Complex.

Multiple on-site parking lots within FDR Park; lots are free year-round except during Eagles game days when overflow parking at FDR Park is paid.

Public transit

SEPTA Broad Street Line to NRG Station (Broad & Pattison), a short walk to the plaza; nearby bus routes include Routes 4 and 17 with stops within walking distance.
