About
3rd Annual Spring Garden Sunflower Festival
Fairmount Avenue between 17th and 19th Streets.
The Spring Garden Civic Association and 5th District Councilmember Jeffery Young Jr. will host the 3rd Annual Spring Garden Sunflower Festival, transforming the 1700–1900 blocks of Fairmount Avenue into a celebration of the neighborhood's small businesses, artists, and institutions. Now in its third year, the festival has grown bigger each time, and this year is shaping up to be the biggest yet.
The free, family-friendly event runs noon to 8pm and features:
- 50+ vendors, artists, and service providers spotlighting the local business corridor
- Live music from Jason Jeffries and the Tall Trees, Siempre Salsa Philly, and Rock to the Future, plus a WXPN Welcomes set with Maxwell Stern & The Good Light Band and the John Byrne Band
- DJ sets presented by Records Forever
- A community salsa lesson with Siempre Salsa Philly at 4pm
- Live art-making at 18th & Fairmount running all day
- A Kids' Zone, beer garden with lawn games, and food trucks
The festival is backed by a strong local coalition, including WXPN as radio partner, the Spring Garden CDC, and supporters like the Philadelphia 76ers, Philadelphia Flyers, Philadelphia Police Department, and neighborhood businesses including The Fairmount Tavern and Bar Hygge.
