Slauson Malone 1 is the musical/performance project of artist Jasper Marsalis. He released the album EXCELSIOR on Warp Records (released October 6, 2023) and previously issued A Quiet Farwell (2016–2018) and other Crater Speak releases. Marsalis works across music, performance and visual art, and has performed in curated programmes and gallery contexts while partnering with musicians such as Jason Moran.
