A Platinum selling artist with vocals powerful enough to rival any of the biggest names in music Ketara Shavon Wyatt, better known as “Keke Wyatt” is no stranger to chart topping hits and powerhouse performances. Keke electrifies on stage, and has brought audiences to their feet, including legendary Divas Chaka Khan, Aretha Franklin, and Whitney Houston amongt others. A multi-talented artist and gifted instrumentalist, Keke’s pitch perfect vocals will leave you with chills and her abilities on the keyboard, guitar, drums and percussion will leave you mesmerized. Sexy and talented, this Diva leaves audiences wanting more. Born in Indianapolis, IN on March 10, 1982 to a multiracial background- Keke grew up in church, and gospel music was dominant in her household. Her mother Lorna Wyatt - a powerful church vocalist, and father Keever Wyatt II, a Pastor, organist, and vocalist gave Keke her early musical roots. She started singing in church with her family at the age of two, having her first solo performance at the tender age of 5. She recorded her first gospel song “What If” by the age of 10. As a teen she performed with various girl groups, even auditioning for and receiving an invite to join The Dollz, and later evolved into Destiny’s Child. Still in her teens, Keke became a protégé of noted producer Steve Huff, and under his wing she recorded demos for record labels and developed her songwriting. Shortly after, meeting R&B singer Avant at 16 years old, they together recorded “My First Love” a duet, becoming Keke’s first hit single peaking at #4 on the Billboard Top 100 charts. This clearly was the start of a musical match made in heaven for future hits and years to come from two. Keke signed her first solo album deal with MCA Records by the age of 18, and with help from her good friend Randy Jackson (American Idol) she recorded her first solo album within a swift two weeks. The album “Soul Sister” produced her first platinum selling album and another Billboard top 5 hit “Nothing in this World”, which peaked at #4. With worldwide sales “Soul Sister” broadened Keke’s fan base to tour in Japan, Korea and Europe. In 2010 she released “Who Knew” then “Unbelievable” in 2011, which included the single “Saturday Love” with American Idol winner Ruben Studdard. After a very much publicized domestic violence incident in 2001, Keke has become a leading advocate for women who have suffered domestic abuse, and is a spokesperson for The National Coalition against Domestic Violence (NCADV), as well as a celebrity supporter and activist with The Saving Our Daughters organization. Keke uses her music and entertainment platforms to bring awareness and hope to women, showing they too can overcome their circumstances and lead successful lives. Clearly in her prime, the future is bright for Keke, as she embarks on this new season in her life and career. She joined forces once again with her good friend Avant at the beginning of 2013 and delivered what has very well become their biggest hit to date “You & I” a moving love ballad that has a classic old school feel with great potential of becoming an R&B classic. “You & I” peaked at #1 on Billboard’s Urban A/C chart February 2013 and remained there for 7 consecutive weeks.
