About
Darling Cool is a musically eclectic DJ and aspiring music producer making fresh and meaningful waves in the Bay Area music scene. You can catch her selecting classics, deep cuts, remixes, and edits across various genres of music—with an emphasis on sharing sounds influenced by her Nigerian and German roots, her California birth place, and her Midwestern upbringing. She loves playing soulful tracks inspired by the house, R&B, and rock music that her mother and father, a rock photographer and a funk bassist, raised her on. She's a member of Bussdown Collective and Ladies 1st DJ Club Bay Area, and a curator of Butter alongside Amal—an anything and everything and everywhere sound party. Darling c
She's also the founder of Black Girls Link Up, a quarterly meetup event series in Oakland designed to highlight creative Black women and provide a safe space for them to come together and celebrate one another.
